Meet Digger!

Digger has been attending Great Ponton School since April 2021 when he was 8 weeks old and he has been trained following the PAT dogs guidance for therapy dogs. Due to his training, Digger isn’t fazed by much. He can tolerate loud noises and busy environments. It is very rare to hear Digger mke a noise (such as crying or barking). Digger attends the school a couple of days a week and is based in the Headteacher office.  He particularly works with children who need a sensory break and time to regulate. This might simply be with a cuddle, brushing Digger for a stroking motion, a tug of war game for push and pull, or a run on the field playing fetch.

Digger is nearly four years old, fully insured and he is castrated. HE is also fully vaccinated and has flea and worm treatments every 12 weeks. Digger is not owned by the school but by Mr Leader.

Digger is a fabulous addition to our team at Great Ponton, but we know sometimes parents may have questions or concerns so please do not hesitate to approach Mr Leader. The school has a full risk assessment which has been agreed by the governing board, which you will find below.
